Astrolabe Records is a small British independent label, established in England in 1978. It was created to finance, record, manufacture, distribute and support ambitious music that did not fit comfortably within conventional label structures.

Its first release was Humble Wizard’s debut, Celestial Alchemy. What began as a practical arrangement became the label’s central purpose. Astrolabe remains custodian of that catalog and archive.
